The brief
BeSafeBeeHoney is a network funded by COST Action, European Union, that brings together researchers, beekeepers and institutions from across Europe around bee protection and the valorisation of beekeeping products.
The challenge
The project had a logo and nothing else, and the logo itself did not hold up. On top of that: multiple working groups, dense technical content and an audience that ranges from the scientific community to the general public. Brand and site had to be clear and accessible without compromising the project's institutional credibility.
The approach
Identity first. I redesigned the logo and built the system around it, documented in a brand guidelines manual so partners across Europe apply it consistently. Then information architecture: content organised so any visitor finds what they need, whatever their familiarity with the subject.
My role
Brand redesign and guidelines manual, website design and Webflow development. I still maintain the site.
